You’re not choosing a course. You’re choosing what you walk away with: a certificate, or a practice.
If you’re comparing injector training programs right now, there’s one question that settles it: what do you have when it’s over? Here’s the side-by-side — a typical certification course vs. My Practice Academy. No competitor bashing, no fine print.
A typical certification course vs. My Practice Academy
Eight things to check before you give any program your money — including ours. Each one comes straight from what people in this field say went wrong.
What you leave with
A certificate of completion — and then the quiet discovery that there’s no official standard behind it. The paper alone doesn’t bring patients, and it rarely gets you hired.
A practice in motion: the clinical courses plus the entity, compliance, pricing, and launch work — done in order, not left as homework. The certificate was never the product; the open practice is.
The business build
The most common story in this field: trained, certified… and waiting for patients who were never going to just appear. “Now go start your business” — said on the way out the door, with no how.
The core of the curriculum, not an upsell. Practice Blueprint walks the whole build in order — entity and compliance, location, vendors, pricing, first patients, systems — and getting your first patients is curriculum here, not an afterthought. That’s the part we walk with you: launched in 90 days.
Who’s teaching
A rotating faculty you meet for a weekend — and the field’s standing advice: check whether your trainer has real years in aesthetics, not just a deck to read from.
Faisal Darwiche, NP — a practicing owner, not a presenter. 27 years a clinician, founder of three aesthetics practices, teaching the same sequence he used to open them.
When the course ends
Too often, the course ends and so does the relationship — the thing buyers in this field now ask first is “who actually supports you afterwards?”
Here, that’s when it starts: Sal — an AI co-pilot trained on the full curriculum — plus the complete document library and a founding cohort small enough that you’re a colleague, not a row in a spreadsheet.
The timeline
A weekend — and working injectors say it themselves: nobody walks out of two days ready to run a practice on Monday.
A weekend course can teach you where to put a needle. It can’t teach you how to open your doors. We spend the 90 days the weekend formats don’t have — on the practice itself: setup, compliance, patients, operations.
The costs nobody itemizes
Tuition turns out to be the small number. Consents, waivers, contracts, emergency protocols, insurance, supplies — costs that surface after you’ve paid, because nobody itemized them.
The paperwork half is answered by name: the complete Compliance Vault — every legal, emergency, consent, and records document — included free, yours forever. The rest of the real economics of opening is taught up front in Practice Blueprint.
The price
The price is never quite the price: bundle tiers, memberships, the “advanced” course you suddenly need — sometimes pitched mid-class. The total depends on what you stack.
One price, stated up front: $1,997 for the complete founding bundle — or 3 payments of $699 — everything included, lifetime access. The single optional add-on is labeled, opt-in, and cancels in one click. No pitch in module four.
The refund policy
“Non-refundable” does a lot of work in this category’s fine print. Read any program’s refund policy before you read its sales page.
Ours is one sentence: 30 days, less than half the material completed, full refund — email us, done. No forms, no hoops. If a guarantee needs a flowchart, it isn’t one.
To be fair: we’re comparing the category, not any single school — there are courses that teach good technique. The difference is what the training is for. We think the certificate is where the work starts, not where it ends.
Five questions to ask any program before you pay
You’re right to compare — every website shows five stars. So here’s the checklist we’d use ourselves, with our answers in the open. Hold every program to it, including ours.
Is the person teaching you running a practice right now?
Our answerHere: yes. Faisal Darwiche, NP — a practicing owner who founded three aesthetics practices and teaches the same sequence he used to open them. The person teaching you to open a practice should have opened one recently.
Is the price the whole price?
Our answerHere: $1,997 one time (or 3 payments of $699) — all three courses, the complete Compliance Vault, lifetime access and updates. Exactly one optional add-on exists — Sal at $97/mo after a free 30 days — labeled, opt-in, cancels in one click.
Is the business part of the curriculum, or an upsell?
Our answerHere it’s a core course: Practice Blueprint walks the whole build in order — entity, compliance, location, vendors, pricing, first patients, systems — on the 90-day launch path. Ask everyone else where the business training sits on their price list.
Who answers you after the course ends?
Our answerHere, that’s when it starts: Sal, an AI co-pilot across the whole curriculum, plus the document library and a founding cohort capped at 25. Ask every program who replies to your email in week three.
Can you actually get a refund?
Our answerOurs is one sentence: 30 days, less than half the material completed, full refund — email us, done. No forms, no hoops. If a guarantee needs a flowchart, it isn’t one.
Take these five to every program on your shortlist. If a program answers all five well, it deserves your money — wherever you land.
The RN path and the NP path are different. We teach both.
Your state’s rules decide how your practice gets structured — who supervises, who owns, who delegates. We put that on the table at the start, not after anyone asks for your card number.
If you’re an RN
You can inject in all 50 states. Botulinum toxin and dermal fillers are prescription products, so the prescribing and the good-faith exam sit with a physician — or, in many states, an NP — and you administer under that delegation.
What that means for ownership: your practice is built around a medical-director arrangement, and how ownership is structured varies by state. That’s a structure question, not a ceiling — Practice Blueprint covers exactly how it’s set up, and the Compliance Vault holds the documents.
If you’re an NP (or PA)
Depending on your state’s practice authority, you may assess, prescribe, and inject under your own license. Full-practice-authority states are the most direct path; reduced- and restricted-authority states add a collaboration agreement.
Ownership structure follows the same state lines. The curriculum maps the sequence to your state’s reality instead of pretending one rule covers all fifty.

Built by a clinician who did the thing
Most aesthetics education is taught by faculty who teach. My Practice Academy is taught by a nurse practitioner who opened three practices of his own, sold one, and built the curriculum from the sequence he actually used — the clinical technique and the business behind it, clinician to clinician.
What we won’t show you (yet)
No wall of testimonials. No screenshots. My Practice Academy is enrolling its founding cohort — the first 25 members — which means we don’t have student outcomes to parade yet, and we won’t invent any. If you’re comparing programs, hold everyone to that standard.
Here’s what a founding seat actually gets you instead:
- Practice Blueprint — the business build, in order
- Neurotoxin Mastery + Dermal Filler Mastery — the clinical core
- The complete Compliance Vault — free, yours forever
- 30 days of Sal, your AI practice co-pilot (then $97/mo, optional)
- Founding cohort of 25 + price locked for life
And the risk sits with us: if within 30 days you’ve completed less than half the material and decide it isn’t right for you, email us for a full refund — no forms, no hoops. Read the full policy.
What comparison-shoppers ask us
See the whole sequence — free — then compare every program against it.
The free training walks the 90-day path from where you are to a practice that’s open. Watch it before you buy anything — ours included — and you’ll know exactly what to ask every other program you’re considering.
